Creating this multimodal tutorial was a bit of a challenge. As excited as I was to share my knowledge of the Google Extension, Goobric, I needed to make sure that all of the information was presented clearly so that my viewers could use the tool effectively. The hardest part that I faced was creating the video explaining the uses for Goobric. I must have recorded the video 8-10 times trying to keep the information presented to under 3 1/2 minutes. Overall, I was happy with how the tutorial came out and I look forward to using this knowledge to create many more!

This looks awesome, Meredith! I have never used Goobric (or online submission of work for that matter.) Your video really spells it out clearly! I think this could be a good resource for on demand writing pieces that my younger students do throughout the year. I think I might give it a try! :)
ReplyDeleteLooks good. I'm pinning this to my Trello board to make sure I take some time to finally figure out how to use Goobric.
ReplyDeleteWell done :)
This looks great! Good point you make in saying that if students are handing in an electronic assignment why do they receive a paper rubric. It makes sense to have this feature. I really like the audio comment option. This would be useful with Kindergarten. The type of rubrics I use don't have words but pictures to make more sense to little ones. But how neat it would be for them to hear their teacher praise them on their device. Something to think about.
